The Metasequoia Row of trees in late autumn season
The weather doesn't look good today, but I went to a certain tourist spot that has been talked about in autumn. This spot is located in western Shiga Prefecture, Japan. (December 9th,2024)
After I reached there, I passed by a white horse when I walked along the row of trees. I wonder if it is a horse for tourist horseback riding.
By the way, there was a young woman in flashy clothes next to a roadside big tree. Looking closely, I found out she was a photographer's model, and a photographer (not seen in photo) was taking pictures of her. Considering that the photographer used a model to take photos, it must be a beautiful view behind her.
Yes. This scenic spot is the Metasequoia Row of trees in Makino Town, Takashima City, Shiga Prefecture. Even though it was a weekday, there were many tourists to admire the autumn leaves of metasequoia. You can see a tourist carriage in the center. I wonder if the white horse mentioned above has been tasked with traction of this tourist carriage.
It is pleasant to pass through under the Metasequoia Row with autumn leaves, isn't it?
This is the photographing point mentioned above. The model is standing beside a streetlight in the left. It is certainly a magnificent view.
This is the south end of the Metasequoia Row. It is the most crowded place, so tourists are sometimes going onto the road when they get obsessed with photographing.
What do you think this bunch hanging down from a branch?
At first, I thought it was a metasequoia seed, but it turns out to be a bunch of flower buds. After all the leaves have fallen, the flowers bloom in February or March. As a matter of fact, the metasequoia flower has a complex structure, so I would like to observe the male and female flower next year.
Please check previous blogs on the Metasequoia Row, if possible.
