The Metasequoia Row, the famous tourist spot in Shiga Prefecture

I'd like to tell you about the Metasequoia Row, the famous tourist spot in Makino Town, Takashima City, Shiga Prefecture, which was selected as one of the 100 places with views of outstanding roadside trees in Japan in 1994.

About 500 large metasequoia trees are lined along the main road for 2.4 km.

Although it is usually crowded with tourists during the season of fresh greenery, it is quiet now as it is the off-season.

Unfortunately, there was a light snowfall at that time, but there was some sunshine during a lull in the snow, so I quickly took some photos. I can't wait to see the Metasequoia trees with new green leaves. I'll report back when the time comes. Stay tuned for updates!
