A strange creature that grows on moss

Today, I walked around the forest again. There I happened to meet an unfamiliar old man. He said he came here to cut out ivy or something in order to make a Christmas wreath.

A dead tree has blocked the way. It fell down by a typhoon and has remained untouched for several years.

A black club has came out from the moss. This is called 'tengu-no-meshigai' (tengu=a long‐nosed goblin, meshigai=rice spoon). It is a mushroom belonging to Ascomycetes.

You can see something strange on the right side of the tengu-no-meshigai's head. I didn't imagine what it was, so I came back again to retake photos.

It's sticking out from the panicle (?) of some plant. There is a yellow ball at the end of a white stalk and a transparent ball on the yellow ball.

I think that the transparent ball is simply a water droplet and happened to stick together with a yellow ball. The white stalk and yellow ball consist one thing.

I think those are some filamentous fungi (asexually reproducing generation of ascomycetes; anamorphs) and I also think the yellow ball is a mass of spores.
